Polygon’s Leap into zkEVM Validium: A New Layer in the Crypto Cake

In a bold stroke Polygon engineers have proposed upgrading their flagship Polygon PoS sidechain.

The aim? Morphing it into ‘zkEVM Validium,’ an Ethereum-secured Layer 2 network. The plan aligns the existing Polygon PoS chain with the vision for Polygon 2.0.

This future version of Polygon employs a unique zero-knowledge scaling tech, known as validium, marking a significant step in Polygon’s roadmap.

What’s the bottom line? It’s about enhancing security and performance while preserving the low fees Polygon is known for. The proposal indicates the coexistence of the existing zkEVM and the upgraded Polygon PoS within the ecosystem. If approved, we could see this implemented on the mainnet by the end of 2024.

With Polygon being one of the most used blockchains in daily transactions and holding over $2 billion in on-chain assets, this is a game-changer, goats!

Invesco Wakes the Bitcoin ETF Beast: A Tango in Crypto

Invesco, the global asset management firm, is pulling a rabbit out of the hat. They’ve reactivated their spot Bitcoin ETF filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

What does this mean? The filing introduces trading rules changes, specifically concerning Commodity-Based Trust Shares.

This move could bring about significant change, offering investors indirect exposure to Bitcoin with significant protection against risks like insolvency and cyberattacks.

If the proposal gets the green light, investors could benefit significantly from safeguarding their BTC investments. In short, it’s a protective shield for your Bitcoin investments!
